Seat compatibility

I'm flogging my seat and cowl on eBay. I'm being asked questions. Does anyone know how model specific they are? Mine's a '97 750 - I'd like to know what it will fit.

As far as I know they were all the same up to 2000 when the tank was slimmed down and the seat to match.

I would have thought that if the frame didn't change there would be no need for a new seat.

I've put a 2000 seat on my 99 Monster.

The tank style changed and so did the seat so where the seat fits into the seat it's different.
But I changed my tank too to a 2000 model so the two fitted perfect.
Only thing I needed to change was the seat catch.
The 2000 model has a spike where the pre 2000 one has a loop.
Luckily Ducati rhought of this and the plate holding the catch unscrews and the two are interchangeable.
