Yesterday evening and this morning I have been unable to
access the site from my home PC, but it works fine from my
work one! What's stranger is that I don't seem to be having
problems with any site except this one....

I've tried all sorts, but can't get it to work. I'm not sure
if the problem is a browser setting (I havn't changed
anything, so cant' see why that should be the case) or
with the ISP (bt yahoo dialup) or....

Anyone got any ideas/suggestions as to what's going on !!!

Thanks in advance,

pete

I need to check if the IP, of the site has changed....

if you are using a windows PC try to run the following command from a DOS window :

ipconfig /flushdns

That is the only thing I can think of now.

Pete,
I had exactly the same prob - couldnt access Thurs & Fri night - nor yesterday (tho fine at work).
Same dial up as you at home: BY yahoo - and couldnt access via anywhere - as just said page could not be displayed......this was the only one of the sites I use on favourite bookmarks, that I couldnt access

Thought I would give it one last go this morning before trusty monster mate comes round later to wield sledgehammer at 'puter  - and blimey! - I get on straight away!!!

ps: cheers for all your help last night Sami :D - cannot access portal page tho - is this ok still?

I don't know what's happening at BT but mines working fine now as well...

Still with a bit of luck I'll have my adsl in around a week then I'll be
using a different isp..... Can spend my time mucking around with that
instead

Cheers,

Pete

or is it just me?

I have BT/Yahoo pay as you go at home and for some reason it cannot find the site address, having previously been able too.

The work internet access finds the site fine.

Is anyone else (who obviously can get access another way) having problems?

How did it get fixed before?

Is it just a temporary problem that should right itself eventually?

Cheers for any help

Graham

Hey Guys

I have a hunch but i need you to confirm

1. Are you using Windows XP
2. Have you got Service Pack 2 installed

Let me know and i might possibly find an answer

Plum, I don't know about the others, but my laptop runs on win98. Thanks for trying anyway.

Flip, still got mine. If your not off to the IOW, do you want to meet up for a ride at the weekend (sunshine permitting).

Pete,

I was off all day Monday and tuesday from my work machine running Win2000 and with a BT ADSL link. Came in this morning and presto!

Plum, I've got XP on my laptop (anyone got a cloth?) but I've avoided SP2. I thought it was a server side problem for Le Marsu. Guess I'll have to try that there bit of code he's offered up.

I don't know what's happening at BT but mines working fine now as well...

Still with a bit of luck I'll have my adsl in around a week then I'll be

Sorry Grim, was at the outlaws this weekend so no Monstering for me I'm afraid.

If you're around in the week for a bit of an evening blat (maybe Thursday?) if the weather holds out it'd be cool.
