Im Not to techi, but i removed the front cyclinder belt cover the other day and there is a little bit of oil between the sprocket and the engine, im not sure if this is normal, Just grim/grease from last service thats melted away, or not, or maybe a oil seal has gone, Its not leaking heavily just a little oil, anyone else have the same problem, any idea what it might be?, Its a 96 m900 with 7500miles on it, !!! Ps dont know if its happening on the rear cyclinder as i havent managed to look at it yet. will it cause a problem?

Cheers

I had a leaky oil seal on the cambelt pick up cog in the middle of the Vee. Very easy repair for a shop to do, and should be cheap.

Yeah, Im not to worried about it, But its at the cam end, so i guess ill get itdone nearer the service time, its not contaminating the belt just yet, ill wipe it away when she comes back from her set up at BSD, and watch to see how much is comming out...
