Has anyone got any new clutch parts for a '93 900 monster? I need to replace the whole basket assembly. I don't want any tricked up stuff, just standard steel stuff. Ta!

The basket is not very expensive Spacey - I think I was quoted about £75 from Dooocaateee.

Moto Rapido might be worth a try if no joy with a new part

Had the whole assembly fitted at Daytona and I thought they'd done something wrong as it doesn't make ANY noise now! Sorted... The only downer was they said they couldn't fit the 996 slave cylinder as it doesn't fit. Yes it does I said, I know someone who's done it. The pushrod's too short, they said. That's why I gave you a new one to fit. It's wrong one-where did you get it? From YOUR parts desk says I..... Soooo they agreed to fit it at a later date for nowt. Tossers...

Wot no noise at all !! does it have the standard full cover and gasket then??

Mine makes more noise than I care to put up wih at times.

There was talk of ally plates some time ago which cut the noise a fair bit.

The clatter is caused but the plates and basket wearing in - the specified gap is about 0.6mm I think but mine are about 1.5mm and they clatter good!

"Wot no noise at all !! does it have the standard full cover and gasket then??"

It has the standard cover and no noise at all.
Not a clatter.
Not a rumble.
Nothing at all.
Not a sausage.

Spacemonkey, glad to hear your clutch is working in peace.

As payment perhaps you could embalm me with a thick gel, that way if it all goes wrong on the track day there`ll be no nasty blood spillages.
