pre load adjust

I' ve found a few threads here already but here are a few quick idiot questions.
1 ride height, rose bolts refers to the 2 at the end of the arc with lock nut to the swing?
2 pre load s on the thread , 2 collars , an ordinary c or open spanner? according to geezer in the garage I showed maual to "you need a special sachs/showa too for that mate"

if you've got an early model ( a proper monster ;) ) yep, they join the swinging arm to the arch

try a proper tool shop and they should have one to fit or Demon tweeks sell them
