I have just fitted a carbon belly pan, which looks fab, it fastens to three M6 engine casing bolts which I have replaced with new s/s capheads.
What should I torque these bolts up to?

I cant find anything on Ducati.com about these engine casing bolts.

Cheers

The Ducati manual gives a torque setting for M6 as 7.8-9.8 Nm. Stainless doesn't need to be "drawn in" the same so you could reduce that possibly by as much a third. Remember to use copper grease on the threads.

A torque setting of 6.5Nm with copper grease?

Personally I'd put a touch of threadloc on each bolt, and then just nip them up by hand using a small allen key...

Glad you said that,

My torque only go's down as far as 40, I need a new one for the smaller toques. I did as you said, thread lock and my fingers guessed the rest.

Yes, the problem with torquing such low numbers/small bolts (especially if there is oil or grease is on the threads) is it's easy to over tighten and strip the threads - especially stainless bolts in soft alloy casings...

A regular length allen key or short (palm size) open/ring spanner is is all you need for M6 size bolts...

You need to use copper slip with stainless bolts into alloy cases.
