right past my elbows!!

Just fitted some Motrax Bar End Mirrors (part number MBM2) which I bought from a very nice young lady at CMW! Ta MM!

Only glitch was having to swap the retaining wedges over from my old Bar Ends to the mirrors as the diameters were different (I've got ally bars). Easy enough to do though!

I was there as my stepfather was teaching in soweto so I went out there as an escape from english comprehensive from hell. spent 4 years at this beautiful hippy kinda school called woodmead about an hour north of jhb..it was pretty lekke eh, did all the parks, garden route zim etc. interesting place to spend one s formative years but Im too european to wanna go back, that and the fact that my friends that do live there need ak47 s just to get a pint of milk!! (slight exageration but u know wot I mean)

Great thread!!

Got some South African customers I'm working with at the moment and he's trying to teach me some Afrikannes. Spent a week in Jo'burg last December and should be going out again soon.

Great people, cracking weather and good food/booze

when i left woodmead was just a lion park a school and a general shop. mind u in 15 years it may well look like sandton/rosebank now...........
alex.
when i were a lad it were all lions and "velt" round these parts.
ps the school was next to the river...happy days.

them lions ate a few chinese tourists a few years back...
watching too many simba cartoons... they left the car to get better pictures of the lions using their high powered flash cameras... many jokes about chinese take out ensued :rolleyes

still lots of veld around woodmead, joburg has spread like a disease, almost joins pretoria via midrand now

Gotta some S/African neighbours who spent his time in the Army in the Kruger Park. I assumed this was to keep the refugees from crossing the border but he tells me it was to stop the lions eating the refugees. About once a week they had to go find what was left and try to find the cat that did it!!!!

Manc - just to make you feel really homesick, when I went out, the weather was 30+ degrees C, perfect blue sky, great wine, excellent food and some really nice people! :D:D

It was truely "lekker"!!

But some sad new yesterday: A excellent musician friend, Gito Baloi, from Tananas was shot dead in Jo'burg. Sorry if this has ruined your morning, but you all seem South Africa friendly and may have known of this damn gifted bass player, and all round fab bloke :(
