I've just been told that there could still be road closures on the A14 on Sunday, but I'm afraid I don't know where.
There is also a potential road closure on the A143 on the West side of Stanton at the Shell garage. So try and approach Stanton from the East if you come on the A143.

The B1111 is all clear I am told, so good for us coming from the North, great road too.

The A14 and A140 are going to be closed to let an abnormal load get from the docks in Ipswich to Eye airfield. There building a power station there and this is part of it. They're delivering the parts for the next 3 weekends. I cant remember where I read about it unfortunately, I did think about going out and sitting on a bridge to have a look, but I think it's all happening ridiculously early.
I'll find a way through to Stanton ok, I worked there for several months, there's a few back roads in.......if I can remember them!

Yes I was speaking to Kingfisher88 this afternoon and he said they are delivering the gas turbines on Sunday, so quite large turbines I imagine, could be quite a sight!

On the plus side he was fairly certain that the closure in Stanton was now rectified, or at least would be by Sunday. So that should give you some scope to come in from the Bury side.

Good luck.

Great weather for Sunday's little run out, although the first few miles were foggy for us coming from the North.
Good to see the usual crew as always, but this time only one Monster. Dacs (or Ray) can always be relied upon to represent the marque.

Good to see DaveR putting miles on the 750SS, which I'm pleased to see is being well looked after and ridden. Lady Dacs back from touring Lincolnshire on her 1100 Honda Bobber with Dacs on his M1000Sie, and me still lovin' my Starship. Over 4000 miles on it this year, I must dig the Monster out again one day.
