Hey guys thanks for letting me in.

I've just bought this machine from Superbike store and haven't owned a Duke previously, always loved the look and sound . Worried about it as i know the foot pegs will encroach on my right foot. Although I am a size 8.But having got off KTM 990 and recently GIXXER 750 L1 im keen to join the clan and truly belong.

I want to fit the Termignonis and that will be a first extra to stick on .Any ideas or thoughts about how to source a second hand system or whether its better to get brand new would be a help.

Look forward to going on a run :bunny:and the weather looks like its turning positive. :mand::mand::mand:

Noice. Welcome.

You could hunt eBay for a set of termis…or (on pain of death for suggesting it) you could look at other systems.

I’ve got a titanium Remus hypercone on my 1100. Very happy with it…I sold my termis and tbh they weigh a hefty amount.

Mines were circa 6kg (weighed when taken off) the hyper cone is circa 2kg.

Also others out there the most well known being SC project.

Welcome to the forum ZePulle. I have a 1200s as well and it's a great bike, don't let the old die hard air cooled boys put you off. Cant help with the termi's as I have an SP Engineering pipe on mine.

Cheers Guys ; yes went on Ebay and picked up a full system . Having it fitted is the next issue and now looking at oil change which i plan to do myself air filter and coolant will be for the garage along with the belts. Im in Bromley Kent and plan to go get it done at a Ducati engineer unless anyone thinks otherwise .

Welcome on board.

As the bike is new to you, it'd be a good idea to do a complete oil service by also removing and cleaning the gauze filter, as this can give a good indication of the health of the motor.

If it's like my Evo then, to access the plug, you'll have to remove part of the exhaust, (slob had a 1200 so he can confirm that). If that is the case, and you don't fancy removing the exhaust yourself, get the dealer to do the oil change and clean the filter when they install your new exhaust. A decent workshop will let you know if they find anything unusual in the filter but maybe also ask them to photograph the filter so you can see its condition for yourself.

Probably, never touched mine, first service was done by dealer (still in warranty)... wrote it off before I got to the next one :-( If the World and my right leg ever recover I seriously want another R

Thats FAB information. I like the recommendation. The Dealer has now changed the oil and filter and your prompt will prompt me to ask about the condition of the oil. I still dont now if the belts have been done. It is that job that will be done as asap. Ill ask the garage to check if i cant get hold of the previous owner to verify if it was done by him at all. Thanks for your advice Liuddite . Respect.
