Neutral Light

2006 S2R 800. Starting neutral light on will not start. neutral light on raise side stand bike starts. During a run neutral engaged neutral light does not come on, Switch motor off turn ignition back on neutral light comes on. These problems only started a week ago.

Any ideas?

Check the plug from the neutral switch its only one cable and the switch works to eart and due to where it is on the bike it gets covered in crap off the back wheel over time. Iv'e had to clean mine a couple of times a quick squirt with WD and plug and unplug it a couple of times then it was fine.

Have you already bypassed the side stand interlock? IIRC on mine it would not start with the stand down even in neutral.
