I bought a new, but not in original packet, Ducati performance by FG Gubellini steering damper ( across handle bars type) on e-bay from Italy maybe 5 years ago. I don’t why but i put it in a cupboard and just never got around to fitting it.
This spare time made me re-visit the thought of putting it on.
I have no instructions, but it should be simple enough to fit.
When offered up, the sort of triangular shaped bracket which attatches to the top handle bar triple clamp bolts looks as though it should be a mirror image of what i have.
I can’t just flip it over due to the way it sits in the bolt holes. Slightly reduced diameter.
Does a kind soul on here have a photo in situs. Or even better, a copy of the instructions?

I’m presuming i have the correct set up, but there are no part numbers on any of the parts. Just manufacturer name engraved.
Thanks.

There are usually to versions of the FG Gubellini damper for the S4 and S4R so I imagine yours is for the S4R if you have the the standard bars. I could show you how the S4 one fits but I doubt that will be of any help. I found this pic of the s4r setup if that's any help?

I imagine it should look something like that?

or like this

whilst this is long gone, you can see how it goes together from the pics

Thanks gents.
I hope this doesn't get too complicated, but.......

My brackets are same as in Darrens post. Key surround one is spot on, but one that bolts to handlebar clamp is a mirror image of the one shown?

The actual damper is same as in Slobs post.

If only i could post a piccy

I can’t mount damper other way around as writing would be upside down :hissy:

You have to use postimage or similar if you have a photobucket account you can use that.

Post the link as hotlink for forums.

besides the writing showing, the ‘free’ end of the damper rod will always be on the left when fitted so you can adjust it on the move while still holding the throttle open.

Makes good sense, the adjuster being on the n/s. I’ll have another look at it. Thankyou.

I used to use tinypic, but that went the same way as photobucket.
