Hello to you all and thank you for the membership. It's nice to know there is a larger community out there with resource that can be pulled upon in times of need. :chuckle:

My name is Keith and i have been into biking for around 35 years although this is the first Ducati i have owned.

Current bike is the Monster 796 2012 which was given to me by my brother after it was stolen / recovered. Due to the fact the toe rags could not start the Duke, they set about with a hammer. So i have inherited a nice bike with lots of damage so i will be looking towards you guys in times of need.

Regards

Welcome aboard, Keith.

If you've got some cosmetic damage from the theft, that sounds like an excuse for some upgrades and modifications! (And a great winter project!)

Also, if you're new to Ducatis, you may find the low-speed running 'challenging', especially if you're coming from a Japanese in-line four. Many on here, (myself included), have found that a reflash improves matters greatly. Here's the most recent thread on the subject (also featuring a 796).
