Very nice. Shame they can’t make one for £14000, to compete with the Aprilia tuono.

It's a bit, er "lumpy" isn't it ....... ??

Is it real - i.e. What we're all supposed to buy next !!

Never gonna happen... why build a V4 Monster and take sales away from the SF V4?

I suspect the next monster if they do one will be based around the older V twin Panigale for that reason

IMHO the V2 Panigale isn’t suited to road use, it picks up revs like a two-stroke. The 1198 motor in the 1200 Monster is a far better choice if you want to ride in the real world rather than just win at ‘top trumps’ down the pub.

To my eye, this has a Salvador Dali-esque property, with the vertical emphasis of the deep sump, the front header and the oil cooler reminding me of:

I prefer CURVES not CURLS - bit 'hard on the eyes', perhaps?

Agreed Stuart, that's lush in anyone's dictionary, although to be treated with respect, :chuckle:

That's a clever piece of computer artwork that someone has done, but I hope Ducati are not crazy enough to put that engine in a motorbike, They seem to have accidentally designed a car engine?

But how about some all weather fun? Stick it in one of these..

Or a bit of fresh air madness on a nice day..

So you don't think they'll retune it like they did with the s4/s4r? It probably just needs an ECU tweak and a better exhaust system? Maybe?

I just was thinking that the last time they had a SF in the range after the S4RS the Monster went back to being sidelined as a 2v air cooled relic for the diehards to enjoy? Ironically the Monster was a better seller as the SF didn't last as long.

Maybe Millyard will make a V8 monster?

S4rs was a better bike in my opinion. Old SF had less weight and more power but was tamed in comparison as chassis and suspension were designed for more then engine.

In s4rs engine was designed for more then frame and suspension can handle before it gets upset.
That means each time I was on s4rs I felt more alive.
That is what counts for me.

I love 1200R as it makes me feel like riding old monsters so it has to stay but I suspect V4SF will make me feel just as alive if not more just not in same places.

Millyard is simply a genius. My only issue with him is how easy he makes what he does, look.

That and making me feel utterly inadequate.:hail:

Never thought I'd say this bit I actually prefer the Tuono to the SF!

I like Monsters because they put together a few basic essentials in a well designed, minimalist package which is greater than the sum of its parts and provides everything I need (and nothing I don't) in a real world motorcycle.
As Galuzzi said ... "all you need is .....".

Sometimes its important to know when you've got enough already.

Each to their own though.

Well looking at that photo it looks like V4 engine, Pierobone frame, tank and subframe with seat as is, new light.

So not genuine but still i think its good.

Also it would not steel from SF sales they look completly apart. SF looks aggressive cause it is aggressive and is for aggresive riders. Monster will be understated and probably bit less aggressive in chassis setup but still capable.

Exactly, and succintly put.
