Is it possible for other M1100 models apart from the evo to have either a single exhaust or the double shotgun system ?

I've seen an Evo system transplanted onto a 796, so I don't see any reason why it couldn't be done on an 1100S.

Be aware that:

• You'll need the Evo headers
• The Evo shotgun silencers possibly won't fit with the 1100S footrests as the pillion pegs may be in the way. You'd either need to also fit the Evo footrests (if you want shotgun cans) or use a single can with the stock footrests.
• The Evo exhaust hanger is bolted to the subframe, which is different from the S's. So, if you want the shotgun silencers you'll either need to fit an Evo frame rail or fabricate an alternative method of attaching the silencer.
• The Evo and S have different exhaust valves so best to remove the hardware and have your ECU remapped to eliminate it from the system.

All in all, I think there's quite a bit of work (and cash!) involved.

If you go ahead with the swap, don't forget to post a project thread - I'm sure you'd have quite a few followers!
