Anyone up for some Saturday beer in town, specifically hitting some or just a single Bermondsey brewery taproom?
My suggestion is Fourpure, I never get tired of their beer, but Fourpure should it be desired has the advantage of being at the far end of the Bermondsey beer mile which follows the train tracks back to London bridge and can include some of the following:

Fourpure
Partizan
eebria
Spartan
Kernel
uBrew
Moor
Brew by numbers
Hawkes Cidery
Southwalk Brewing
Anspach and Hobday

I was thinking the last weekend in July but I'm happy to go for whichever weekend works best for people.

I'd be up for it - having already been led astray along the Bermondsey beer mile I'd be happy to sample more of the offerings (though equally happy to return to Fourpure for more of that chai beer). This time I'll remember to eat first! :drunk:

Last weekend of July works for me.

If it means we get the the pleasure of your company I'm sure we can rustle up some lemonade.

You may get some funny looks but I'm sure that is just the average day for one so "Special" as your good self.

Sounds spot on to me Alan .

I could go mad and have a bitter shandy followed by a larger shandy !!!

But then things might get messy and I'll probably end up in a lapdancing club and spend all my money , have a fight and miss the last train home.

You might not miss the train home.

Hi Oz,

you still looking at Saturday the 28th ?

Yup 28th is still the plan.

My plan so far is to head to London Bridge I'll then be at "More London Place" the area with trees and water features opposite The Shipwrights Arms on Tooley street leaving at 10:30 to walk out to FourPure aiming to be there between 11:00 and 11:30 shortly after their 11:00 opening, if anyone wants to walk out as well as back wants to join me that would be great.

My route goes though Maltbury Street market which is a foodie market and worth a look.

FourePure have sold out earlier this month so ordinarily I wouldn't visit again (I'm a Craft Beer snob) but I'll make an exception, their beer is so good I might make a few more.

Hopefully should be there (barring disaster at work tomorrow). Would aim to be with you at More London, and will graze my way through Maltbury Street market to avoid knocking myself out with the first beer on an empty stomach.

Hopefully will be sunny but a little cooler, looking forward to a beer or 12.

Since a couple of people who wanted to attend can't, I'm going to suggest a round 2 a bit later in the year after checking availability with those who couldn't make it this time.

Looks like you had a good day. Annoyed I couldn't make this one, due to Southwestern Railways being be even more unreliable than usual, courtesy of RMT strikes.

Fingers crossed I'll be available for the next one (trains permitting). I've got recommendations for another beer that sounds almost as odd as your peanut butter one, to try next time (Temple satsuma and seaweed gose) from a friend who I told about the Bermondsey Beer Mile.

Andy & I had to console ourselves by brewing a batch of wheat beer on Sunday. Hopefully we've not doomed the weather by making wheatbeer instead of an Old Peculiar style winter warmer.
