I hope someone can help me out on this one,as this imfo seems difficult to obtain on the web (copy rights etc???). all I need are are the cam belt tensions ,and the valve clearances for a 1999 600cc monster, plus any other data neeed for a full service.I hope some one can help me out on this one, as i dont fancy buying a haynes manual,as the only one i can find only covers models up to 1996!many thanks in advance,Ben.

Valve clearances.....
Closing rockers 0.000" to 0.001" (thou)
Intake openers 0.002"
Exhaust openers 0.003"
Belt tension's a difficult one to describe. Moderate finger pressure on the static roller should just lift it off. But run the vertical one a bit looser 'cause it gets hotter.
Cheers.

thanks for that guys....i will pass it on to my mechanic freind and let him work it out.the way i see it,it already sounds as if some one dropped a bag of washers into the sump any way...so he can't do to much harm!
