Late 2v engine/crankcases

Hi all, I'm currently looking to fit a late 2v air cooled 1000/1100 engine into my early Monster. The first issue is that I intend to keep the two sided swing arm so need crankcases to suit (i.e. not Hypermotard or Multistrada), so either I could do with a complete engine from a DS/SR2 Monster, an SS or prehaps a Scrambler. Alternatively I could do with a set of bare crankcases, and then pick up a Hypermotard/Multistrada engine for the internals as there always seems to be plenty of these available. Has anybody anything which would suit? Thanks Bitza.

i do so happen to have some 900ss crank cases (all good apart from the main bearing which decided to eat itself) inc most other associated bits if that's of interest ~:?

from an injected motor 51 reg i think ~:?

Bitza stupid question but did you check it will not fit? 1098 cases take 999 swingarm

Hi, first Scotty thanks but the cylinder studs on 900 cases are too close together to fit 1000/1100 top ends. Second Saint aka ML, well the short answer is no I don't know that it will fit, I have asked people on here previously but had no definitive answer. However I'm feeling quietly confident that SS, Monster DS & SR2, and ST3 crankcases will fit the frame/swinging arm, I just hope there will be enough room for the top ends!?
