Went to go meet an instructor for a pre-test , tried to start the bike and the choke cable snapped :banghead:

Test is Oct 25th so have a bit of time to fix it but Ducati said they have two part numbers for the Bike

Its a Monster M900 1997 (18th April 1997)

Any idea's on Part number or if there are two ?

Where is the choke control fitted on your bike?

From '93 the knob was mounted beneath the tank on the LHS of the frame.

Later ['97, '98 ish] it was mounted nearer the handlebars with the cable coming up the head stock to the top yoke.

That may account for the two types being listed?

The early one is a 655 400 11a, but is quite short. The handlebar mounted one is probably longer: can't see that on the parts list though?

Try giving Craig a call at Moto Rapido. He knows lots!

If it's anything like a 1997 M750, it's a reet bugger to change... just saying
