Hello all, just wondering how many miles per tank are any monster 1100 evo owners getting?

Evostu,
I'm about 105 before light, the most I've pushed it after light was 23 (forced due to shut petrol station)

Mine gives about 50 mpg. That said it is of course gallons per hour that really matters 'cos in London it can barely manage 30mpg whereas on 'cautious Ken' style motorway you get an easy 60 mpg. In short then, you are right to think more in terms of riding till the light comes on and then being ever so gentle for up to 25 to 30 miles, or an hour max, at which point it will be dry. I've had 105+ followed by 28 before a pump showed up. I now reckon on 10 miles per litre of mixed riding and expect the light at any time after 80miles on the trip this gives a healthy margin, also a warm feeling at the pump when you find you are well within a safety margin.

Just as an afterthought, whenever I go for a trip with my panniers or a roll bag I always thow in some extra petrol in my aluminium Primus 1.5 litre fuel bottle, but I have not yet needed it for real. I also have a plastic trangia 1000ml bottle and may take that as well in future.
