Just to whet your appetites...
Next years Weekender will be on the May Bank Holiday Weekend of 4th, 5th and 6th May 2018.

The venue is The Sharnbrook Hotel in Sharnbrook, Bedfordshire.

http://www.thesharnbrookhotel.com/

Make sure you check out Petrolheadonism and the Supercar pizza delivery films starring the hotel's owner, Ciro and various Supercars.

There is a Supercar event on the holiday Monday that we can get involved with..http://www.petrolheadonism.club/cars-coffee-charity-cruise if anyone still has any energy!

We have 25 rooms reserved (booking details will follow) Plenty of runs in the pipeline to places of local interest, possibility of real Ale on tap, good food and frivolities in the evenings and a Barbie on Sunday afternoon.

It's going to be a cracking Weekender and the ideal one to make your first.... Put it in your diary now...:mand:

Well done for sorting out Gazza.
I've never seen a heads up this far in advance.
The car show collection looks very nice.

Alas I'm already booked for walking around the Isle of Wight yet again, although this time volunteering to help other nutters as opposed to actively participating. Look forward to seeing the pics, I'm sure it's going to be a good one!

After missing this years for the first time in many, it's in the diary for 2018. It also looks like a lovely part of the Country for ride outs.

Enquiries have already been conducted kato.
It turns out that such venues won't even be thinking about their 2018 calendars until about January, so don't hold your breath!

Even so there is a diverse and action packed itinerary emerging behind the scenes... All will be revealed in good time. As JP said, this is a very early call.

Definitely not one to be missed.. (Sorry Jim.. :o)

Looks great but we have booked a trip to Reims that week - really sad we won't be able to make this one as we really enjoyed it this year :-(.

Would be good to see you, Rally.
The Sharnbrook sits about 30 mins from where I live. The roads are good fun, with plenty to see and discover!

That's a shame, you guys were great company this year, especially when the wine was flowing!

I am looking forward to this event, it's a convinient location for me as i live in MK. This would be my first such week end? Would there be seperate events on each of the days?

Mr Gazza

It'll be good to see you Krishna, and likewise other folk who have still not managed to get to a weekender.

Since this is the "aperitif" thread I will divulge an early taster of the itinerary.

This is the main club annual bash and centres around runs out to places of interest and socialising, both at the run destinations and in the evenings at The Hotel.
You can drop in at any point or go the whole hog.

Friday afternoon/evening; folks roll up, check in and get together over an Italian style buffet. Meeting new friends and catching up with old ones.

Saturday morning features a run out to Duxford for a club visit with VIP parking inside the airfield and possibly some interesting privelages.
There will be a shorter run to other local places of interest, for those either still saddle sore from Friday, or just not into old aeroplanes.
The evening sees a three course meal, much social intercourse, fun and games.

On Sunday we have the main Annual UKMOC National run, which this year will be heading to England's smallest County of Rutland, for lunch at splendidly beautiful spot, then return to The Sharnbrook for a parade and voting for the best bikes.
There are some new trophies this year, including Concours d' Elegance, to reward those who cherish originality. Best modified/Special for those who cherish a different kind of originality, and Concours d' Grot for anyone who deserves it..!
There will also be an ongoing BBQ in the afternoon along with the prize giving.

Normal Hotel meals are available in the evening, although we have been recommended an Indian Restaurant in nearby Bedford for those with any room and sense of adventure left!

The fun continues on Monday. We have been invited to take part in Ciro's Cars and Coffee Supercar Charity Cruise. The mind boggles, but expect a generous helping of Lambos, Ferraris and other exotica.

Full itinerary will be published in good time, there's still time to squeeze in stuff if anyone has any ideas of what they'd like to do.

Don't miss out on the Monster's 25th Anniversary UKMOC Weekender.

Just thought it would be timely to refresh this thread for those who have not spotted it yet.

A smashing weekender coming up with lots to do and see, and all in the appropriate surroundings of the only hotel in Britain, as far as I know, that has "Petrolheadonism" as it's motto.

The Hotel owner, Ciro (pronounced Chiro.) is an incurable petrol head and invented the "Petrolheadonism" moniker for people to "Share the Passion" around.
He's partial to a little bit of Italian exotica and has many supercar and motorcycle events at the Sharnbrook... He will be a magnificent host.

Thinking out loud.. I wonder if we could manage to get all the bikes lined up in chronological order on the Sunday afternoon, for a photoshoot celebrating 25 years of the Ducati Monster..??

Don't be too late booking.. Rooms disappearing fast.

Mr Gazza

Ciro has his own very professional production company complete with drone.
Check out some of the films on the Sharnbrook hotel website.

...... and details are coming in, of a track day at Rockingham on the weekend of the Weekender. Only 28 miles from the hotel apparently.. More on that story later....

No limits are doing Rockingham (International circuit) on Saturday and Sunday 5/6 May @ £145 with 3 groups and 104 dB noise limit

Rockingham is 28 miles from the Sharnbrook

If you fancied taking your Monster on track in 2018, why not kill two birds with one stone - go to Rockingham for a blat round the track on Saturday and then join your fellow Monsteristi at the Sharnbrook.

Links to No Limits website for trackday booking here: https://nolimitstrackdays.com/uk-tracks/rockingham-international.html and https://nolimitstrackdays.com/book/#/riders

For details of how to book the Sharnbrook for the Weekender - see Mr Gazza's post here.

Add your name to the list further along in Gazza's thread when you've booked.
