Very nicely done Dookbob... I noticed your special bungs on the steering stem and swinging arm pivot.

Indicators not fitted on this from new I imagine? So custom dash to take the repeaters?

Footrests and grips all covered to keep that pristine newness, and you can say you've seen 140 on the clock too... :chuckle:

One of Spain's finest.

Great looking bike, what did it look like before the restoration?

Very pretty- that'll get the purists and concours freaks suitably annoyed!!!

Hope you had fun with those bevels and have you ridden it yet?

Great looking bike, what did it look like before the restoration?

Didn't look good, bent frame, completely knackered wheel rims, no brakes to speak of, carb completely US, burnt out exhaust valve, electrics to far gone to do anything with except a rewire, seat cover torn, seat pan twisted, chain and sprockets completely worn out, fuel tank well battered, It was described as in excellent condition, and, ( wait for it ) 12 months MOT, I kid you not.
It had my name written all over it, I just had to have it.

Yes it will get a grunt or two from the purists, and yes, I did have fun with the bevel drive set up which was something of a learning curve for me. I haven,t ridden it yet, but it sounded OK whilst I was setting the carb up.

Yet another superb Dookbob build.
The high standard of work is as we have come to expect from these projects.
Lots of nice touches .. the engine-turned dashplate is a nice "period special" piece.

Is that a desmo motor then, or spring valves ?

At the risk of sounding nit-picky, the only thing I'm not sure about is the handlebar brace, which looks a little out of character to my eye.

No, sadly it,s not the Desmo model motor, I know what you mean about the bar brace, I fitted that purely to mount a nice pair of mirrors onto. Once I had fitted the mirrors my mrs. came into the garage " and said " I dont like the mirrors, looks like a bleedin Harley ". So off they came, still not sure about the brace though.

Utopia sowed the seeds of doubt about the handlebar brace, so it,s gone now, gotta say it looks better
