I got one of these last year and I notice that my local Aldi has some more in now.
Made from tough, heavy, reinforced pvc-like material with a reliably waterproof, roll-top closure, they make a nice, large, cylindrical pack for strapping on to the pillion seat.
On the recent coast to coast run, I was carrying mine with tent, airbed and sleeping bag all inside. It survived the downpour over Dartmoor without even a hint of dampness.
The clincher is that they're only a tenner, so worth having even if just for occasional use.
Downside perhaps is that they only seem to make them in dark blue or yellow.

While you're in there, they have cans of GT85 for £1.99 too.

Which is more than can be said for me.

I think I still have hyperthermia from that ride.

If it kept things dry after the Dartmoor escapade it truly is waterproof (unlike my trousers, boots and gloves)!
Will be offering to take the Mrs to Aldi later!

I was trying to speak for the majority.
But its happy days for us owners of yellow or dark blue monsters. :)

And yes, twas a biblical downpour.
My boots had just about dried out by the Tuesday though.
.....as I type this I'm waiting for the postie to deliver my new pair.

Looks like bags are now sold out. Got some GT86 though.

My local Aldi had both colours (and GT85), purchased the yellow version, just hope adding yellow to my red bike doesn't slow it down too much........

I would just use some "High Octane"fuel additive every time you use the bag just to be sure you don't get overtaken all the time...

Good point, was also thinking of adding some carbon wheels to offset the inevitable slowness of the yellow:mand:

Good idea! Are Aldi getting the CF wheels in soon?
