Hi all

I've got an engine case which needs repairing and wondered which liquid metal people recommend.

I have had a look into getting it welded but have been told that I will have to strip the engine to get it repaired, so was going to try some other method.

It is part of the water cooling system so has to be able to withstand water temperature and pressure.

Cheers
Stuart

I've never tried it but water weld is I think from same company as JB Weld.

not used their cold weld but a reputable firm might be worth a look

I 'rebuilt' a water pump on a KTM enduro bike that had been partly eaten away with Devcon aluminium putty. This entailed filling corrosion holes and part of a dividing wall in the pump, that was fairly abused after and managed to hold together.
It needed a good surface prep to bond to and some of devcons own surface cleaner, I over filled then took it down to size with the aid of a dremel.

Thanks for that, will look into what you have recommended.
