Anybody running it , my m900 has 10w4" so needs a top up every so often , topped up with this
She runs a lot quieter and smoother , engine braking is very smooth now

It is the sort of junk a dishonest person would put in a worn engine if they were selling it.
The additive package is carefully formulated by the oil engineers and does not need anything extra.

Wot he said.
Just use a good quality oil in the first place. (your 10w40 will no longer be that viscosity btw).
Luckily you don't have a wet clutch or it would have killed that by now.

Ducati engines need good clean oil so change it often and use either 15/50 or 20/50, yeah Motul 300V or Motul 7100 at £15 or £10/litre its not cheap but its good stuff and your engine will thank you.
As you said previously the grades are what I and your expert had originally suggested was best. Personally I think 10/40 is too thin especially in an air cooled engine and will burn off or run low oil pressure.

Motul oil gets my vote also. My bike seems to like it.

a lot of new engines are designed to run on 10-30 to reduce friction but ducatis prefer 10-40 or 50w
4 valvers MUST have fully synthetic but 2 valvers cn use semi synthetic

An excellent choice of oil for the air-cooled engine - 300V is a group 5 oil so is a real synthetic oil unlike the group 3 oils which are allowed to be called synthetic (but really are not)
The terms synthetic and semi-synthetic are now meaningless without looking at the Tech Data sheet.
