Hoping someone can help out with info about a lower seat that will fit an '06 S2R 1000. Do any seats from other Monsters which are lower fit the S2R ? thanks in advance.

wife took her monster seat to an upholstery place and have some foam removed and a new custom cover done to lower the seating position

How did it look once done ? Have considered this but am unsure how it will look on the bike.

It might be worth looking for a ducati performance gel seat, they are about 20-30mm lower than the seat found on the s2r, I have one fitted to my s4r, they were made for the earlier monster so you will need to add a couple of washers underneath the seat latch to make it fit correctly but aside from that they are a good fit and a lot more comfortable.

The Corbin on my S4 is lower than standard, if you can pick up a s/hand one for sensible money they are a much better seat.

Yep, I have a Corbin and it is noticeably lower and nicer in general too, though firmer in the padding.
On the downside, they are a great deal heavier and perhaps more significantly they have no tool compartment.

If you do look for one, there are two models for early style monsters.
I'm guessing your S2R will probably need the DM9-1, which fits the later "facelift" models of the early style.
