What do you recommend for a M900, rear stand?

Not too sure what they mean by bobbins or cups

Bobbins look like cotton reels that are bolted to the swingarm, the paddock stand has hooks to fit them.

Cups just sit under the arm itself and have a rubber coating to prevent scratching

So if you don't have bobbins fitted, you want a stand with cups.

If you've got the ally swing arm there are already a couple of bobbins welded to it [Just in front of the axle], but you need fairly slender forks on the stand, otherwise they foul the axle plates.

Have you looked at the ABBA stands? One stand will do both front and rear up off the ground at the same time and much easier/safer to use single-handed than paddock stands.

Need to get myself a Paddock stand, luckily already have bobbins fitted.

Demon Tweeks seem to have a good range.

Abba stand all day. I've had one for years and they are dead easy and secure

The BIG advantage of the Abba stand is that you can remove the rear shock which you can't do with the paddock stand.
I've had one for over 12 years and wouldn't use anything else.

+1 for the Abba stand. They're rock solid and dead easy one man operation unlike wobbly paddock stands. With the front lift and footpeg adapters you can easily remove both wheels, forks, shock and swingarm etc. too!

I've got a Abba Stand sky lift, great bit of kit and rock solid even with my VFR completely upright to change steering head bearings

If you have a garage with a stout beam in the roof, its worth considering a chain hoist as an alternative to a bike lift.
Though you would probably need paddock stands too, or at least a rear one, in most cases.
Such kit has great versatility though .. its not just a bike lift.
Also, its very controllable and fine positioning is possible, which helps when trying to align things up before slipping the bolts in.
I recently bought a 250kg hoist for about £50 secondhand.
It has already proved its versatility and usefulness.

On the basic paddock stands, I have a pair of genuine Gubbelini, Ducati performance stands.
These are a very simple design but are extremely well made and their simple design makes them very convenient to use, giving good access around the wheels for cleaning etc.
They can be pricey but again, I got mine secondhand.

Final point ... if anyone is after one, I have a brand new and unused Oxford front paddock stand (the latest design, in silver) which I no longer need now that I have the Gubbelinis.
Available cheap to anyone who can pick up from Leicester, but postage costs are likely to be high so I'd prefer not to have to do that.
Comes with rubber angle/cup adaptors as well as the type with two rubber covered pins on each plate.
