1200R rubber

any 1200R owners got any thoughts on replacement tyres? I was just caught short in middle of France and had to replace with Dunlop GP Racers as they were all the dealer had that fitted. brilliant tyres but reckon they won't give me any more miles than the original Pirellis. 2300 miles and the cable was coming through on the back :shocked:

Thinking maybe a more sports touring tyre next time round will give me all the grip I need and maybe last a couple of miles more :D
