M900 Mirrors

Can anybody recommend some mirrors so I am not looking at my shoulders all the time

Are the bar mirrors more for show or are they practical

With careful adjustment, you should be able to see your elbows instead. It's always reassuring to know they are still there!

Always been a user of bar end mirrors so I would recommend a pair, mine are Napoleon type so give a really good rear view

Mirrors eh? meh :) I have a box full of them in the loft, tried loads and couldn't find any I was 100% happy with in either looks or performance. Those might be ok but look a bit modern for an old M900 IMHO, depends on what kind of look you're happy with. I've been informed that CRG lanesplitters are good

I have a set of DP teardrop alloys which were the best ones I tried. I have some DP teardrop carbon fibre ones which cost an absolute bomb but I didn't like the look of, so never fitted. And I also have an odd pair of De Pretti Moto DP alloy mirrors which are nice but one is black and the other gold. :) All of which maybe no good as they are probably too new if you're looking for period style, I'm not sure when they were current? Probably '00 on wards maybe a bit earlier/

Oh and I just remembered I have some cheap chinese bar end type which actually look ok but you need hollow bars and I don't anymore.

I'd need to check but from memory 10mm sounds about right, might be fine pitch and one is a left handed thread, just to stump you even more but if you have the standard Mickey Mouse ear mirrors I think one end comes off to give you the left hand thread adapter bit you need.

Ah ok ... I thought you only had the aftermarket ones that are fitted on the bike in the other thread not the original round ones.

It is difficult to find some that look good and work well but you could try a different shape from a later Monster?
