They're fine with thick winter gloves, but i find the grips translate the vibes too much with race-type gloves. Thinking of a change as the year progresses, any advice from the masses out there? ProGrips seem to have favorable reviews..

Coming from an S2R 1000 to the Evo, I was surprised to find that the Evo handlebars only had plastic buttons in the ends, rather than the weighty steel plugs on the S2R. I too found the vibes through the Evo 'bars were much more intrusive than on the S2R. I put the difference down to the lack of bar-end weights so fitted a set and found the vibes were much reduced and no longer a problem.

Hmm, already have bar ends in but they're not the weighty type..

Oberon do some heavy (250g each) stainless weights for £35 http://www.oberon-performance.co.uk/acatalog/Motorcycle_Small_Universal_Bar_End_Weights.html although the Pro-grips are probably a cheaper alternative.

Thanks for the pointers. Maybe I'll try filling the bars with lead shot?

If you are suffering from the effect of vibrations through the handlebars it may be that you are holding the handlebars too tight. You really should be just resting your hands on the bars, not gripping them tightly.

SunEye, it's not something i'm conscious of but could be? (See EVOStu's thread on tyres for my take)

Grip Puppies !!!!!

Hold them flat and cut off ~5 mm with scissors and fit the cut side inward. With a layer of grip glue they stay firmly on 'forever'. Roll them on, like you would.... with something else which rolls on.
