Sorry, it's this old topic again...
So I've been trying to find somebody who (genuinely) has stock of new carbon Termis\ECU\filter for my 696. The bike is pretty immaculate, hence why I'm looking for new parts rather than used (and obviously I wouldn't put a used air filter in there anyway). Turns out that a lot of places that advertise this combo don't actually have stock and I'm just getting the runaround, so I went directly to Ducati and they told me that Ducati themselves aren't showing the kit as being available either. Plan B, then. Different cans, K&N filter (£60 ish) and a remap.
Ducati Aylesbury told me that they don't do remaps, however they mentioned a place in Aylesbury called Dave Wood Racing, and from what I'm reading on the web they seem to have a pretty good rep (including working on a few bikes on here). They told me they could do a live map for £360, which doesn't sound bad to me. Apparently it has to be during the week because they have to get a code from the Germans and they don't work weekends!
I'm looking for some suitable cans now, but a lot of them look a bit too 'aftermarket' (IMO). Ideally I don't want ones that use straps, I'd prefer if they had mounting brackets built-in like the stock cans (and the Termis). This is proving tricky too, does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks guys and girls.
