Piston slap

Hi I'very diagnosed that my 600 has the dreaded piston slap is it worth replacing the cylinder head completely with a later one I read that the pre 98 pistons were prone to slap what do you guys think?

Let it slap :-) perfectly normal when cold, as long as it quieten down when warm it'll be fine. The earlier ones made more power anyway ...
