696 headlight bulbs??

i've had a bulb go (i suspect) and amazingly i'm trying to find out what replacement to buy! I am coming up with numerous answers and blurry images but nothing solid. Can anyone please enlighten me as to what a 2009 M696 takes as the low beam bulb? and even better what wattage it is or what i could upgrade to... this is the first issue i've had with bulbs so total noob thread!

ok I have just answered this myself :) I took it out earlier and the low beam is a H7 12v 55w bulb.

Hopefully this helps someone in the future. however if anyone has upgraded bulbs without needing to beef up the wiring, some info on volt / wattage limits would be great.
