I am sure there are still plenty of rooms left at The Metropole for the 2017 Weekender and AlanC will be only too pleased to take your booking and deposit.

Be in no doubt that the party will be at the Metropole.
However I have found a hotel offering B&B fairly cheaply just a hundred yards down the street from the Metropole.
This is the Hampton Hotel, you can book via Booking.com. There is nothing to pay until you get there and free cancellation up until the day before you check in.
There is secure motorcycle parking on site and plenty of take away food in town including an all you can eat Chinese buffet in the Hampton.
I booked a room there for 2016 but cancelled at no cost at the last minute as I was not fit for the trip!.. So no need to miss the Weekender just because you can't afford the Metropole.
