I noticed today that if I push the mode switch on the left switchgear with the key out the headlight comes on and stays on
is this right?
cheers Dingo

If it's the same as my 1100 Evo then this is the 'intelligent headlight switch '. If you use the 'mode' switch within 60 seconds of turning the ignition off, the headlight comes on so you've got time to put your lock on etc. in the dark.

The length of time the light stays on can be programmed up to 3 minutes. Check your handbook under 'headlight' for more details.

I find it a quite useful feature, especially at this time of year.

if you didn't get one with the bike

Sounds like those "follow me home" lights that cars have

Must be the Audi effect :)

Seems odd bikes having 'convenience' features, my car does this trick (uses the foglights) but I've never seen it on a bike.

Mind you my newest bike is still '90s tech, although my 1970's Moto Guzzi has 4-way hazard lights and is the only bike I've ever had with them.

So, maybe Guzzi were ahead of their time? - or maybe they just expected them to break down... :chuckle:
