The great thing about RR stuff is that it holds its value so when you get bored of it can sell for what you paid in the first place, the last set of those I saw went for double that money

I have long coveted a RoadRacing ally tank.
The one in the pic has a complicated looking filler cap arrangement with a pipe emerging from the top ....is that a vent/overflow or what ?
Looks a bit messy and unnecessary to me ... if they're all like that, my RR ally tank lust might be fading.
And anyway, I picked up a carbon/Kevlar jobbie for not a lot of cash a few months back. ;)

Jeff they are all like that.......Its the tank breather

The filler and breather is a bit busy I suppose, but different.
It's cut away a bit more than standard at the bottom though, so you can see the rear pot.

Bike is quite scruffy in places and ordinary in others...Probably worth buying it, swapping the tank and punting it on.? .. If you really wanted an RR ally tank?

First upper air scoops I've seen....Thought I would like them, but don't..:grump:

Excellent ... kind of.
I couldn't handle the messiness of that arrangement, particularly since it appears to only be designed that way to look more pseudo-race.
The ability to use a tankbag is much more important than that.
Ok, anything can be modified, but it seems like a lot of bother.
Reckon I can cross that particular lusting off the list now.
Thanks.

ps. yes, I was wondering about cannibalising the tank, but I'll not bother now.
The rear cutaway does show off the vee of the motor rather nicely though .. that was one of my reasons for wanting one.

I agree. I like a bit of bling but not keen on what I've seen of the RR stuff, each to their own though.

Some of its great some is awful

Tank, seat hump and brake scoops would go on my bike easily

Alien headlight or those awful side panels would go in the bin (well ebay)
