Has anyone got one of the original DP type Belly Pans that's in their way and they want rid of?
Due to the rules changing for this season in classic racing it is now a requirement for solo motorcycles (been the case for the sidecars for a few seasons now) to have a belly pan fitted that will hold oil in the event of an engine blow up etc.
It's a shame really as in many ways it's probably the one thing that now detracts from most Clubs' prerequisite of the bikes looking outwardly as they did during the era they were raced- in my case the '60's.
Obviously it's a safety issue and should keep things running smoothly without so much track cleaning between races- which when there are twenty races a day at a typical CRMC meeting that's a lot of time saved but I reckon there will be a few worried faces as bikes begin to run hotter in the holding areas.
Anyway, rules is rules so I don't mind if it's for an S4 or the air cooled motors as I will probably have to modify it a bit anyway but other than being oil tight I am not too worried on condition.
