Can anyone tell me the model or serial number for the rear shock on the 1200S please? I'm looking at the possibility of a different rear spring (it seems I'm not as lithe as the average Italian rider!!).

Thanks,

Fat Nik

Can you adjust the pre-lard, er I mean pre-load? :)

Generally though the standard Ohlins seem to be always too softly sprung, the one on my S4 is anyway.

I'll certainly be looking at tweaking the pre-lard slightly.

(On the shock, not on my spare tyre!)

My bike's standard rear spring was too 'stiff' because it was designed for two? I never carry a passenger.

I have replaced it for a lighter spring as recommended by Ohlins and problem solved! This revealed a problem with the front which was also resolved by a spring change.

Happy days

That's not like you Pedro!!

It's resolved now - I mis-typed the code on the spring when I contacted my local Ohlins centre.

Putting the Ohlins code in to the online Fray Bentos order page is probably the start of your problems....
