We use 3-in-one at work, it's easy to get hold of and having tried several other brands found it works the best.

I have always seemed to find Wurth products to be over priced and over hyped, if you are a large business they are OK to deal with because you can have embedded stock which means that you are never likely to run out of anything. We have a B&Q, Halfords, Screwfix and tool station all less than 5 minutes away from the workshop so stock isn't an issue for us.

Stay away from WD40 chain wax. Stuff goes everywhere. Currently I'm finding Muc Off dry lube pretty good, doesn't go white and is low splatter.

WD40 Chain wax...Best chain lube out of a can I've used so far...Stays on the chain and lasts for ages. No spatter.

Wurth dry chain lube is my preference and has been for quite a few years now.

Mine too! I get on well with the other non wax WD40 chain lube though (can't remember exactly what it's called) Their chain cleaner is pretty good stuff too, although I often use a toothbrush dipped in a jar of diesel which seems to be just as good. Martin :gromit:

Yep, that's the one! I've just treated my chain and made a point of checking what the stuff is called.

Anyone tried the Motul chain grease, in a tube like toothpaste? Wonder if it is any good, might be easier to apply. Martin :gromit:

I've used a scottoiler for years but the lube splatter finally got to me and I removed it a few months ago.
The other bike has a scottoiler too, so I have limited experience of dry chain lube.
BUT ... my local emporium (long established and of good repute) recommended S-Doc chain lube and I have to say that after using it for 1000 miles or so I'm mightily impressed.
Ok. its still early days for a full recommendation but the chain seems to be just as slick as with the scotty, if not more so, my new rear sprocket shows no obvious wear and I get absolutely zero lube fling.
The other nice thing is that it comes in two sizes .. one is a tiny aerosol which is small enough to carry on the bike for longer trips and the other, larger aerosol can be used to refill the smaller one.
So, not exactly a recommendation as such, but I like it a lot so far.
