Hi folks,

I'm a bit undecided about the numberplate on the rear wheel thing, so thinking about fitting a tail tidy. Can anyone give any good recommendations, please?

Thanks,

Nik

That was my thinking too. Looks like I could end up spending a few quid on their site - just debating the oil cooler protector too, as it seems rather vulnerable...

The Evo-tech performance items are very nice. I fitted to my 821.
The tail unit had an early batch that were not correctly aligned but think that's all sorted now. Well worth getting the oil and radiator covers too if you're thinking about it.

Thanks JP. Do you have any pics of them fitted?

MotoNik, can't find a picture right now, but it looks very similar to the R&G one posted above.
I went Evotech because I had the matching frame bungs, radiator grill & bottom engine grill.

I must admit the Evotech is certainly winning at the moment. What were they thinking with that daft numberplate on the wheel thing??!

I read somewhere recently that it's a regulatory construction requirement that the bodywork extends beyond the back wheel, hence the daft number plate thing.

I would definitely recommend Evotech, MotoNik. Their products are well designed, beautifully made and the finish is excellent. I have one of their exhaust hangers on my 1100 Evo. The fit is perfect and the wrinkle powder coating exactly matches the factory finish on the subframe.

Also their customer service is superb. I recently needed a replacement bolt so I contacted them to buy a replacement. I also noticed that the current hanger uses a fancy cone washer while my five-year-old version has a plain flat washer so I asked if I could get one of those too. This is what they sent me...

All at no charge! Now THAT'S what I call customer service!!

My Evotech kit should be arriving today - can't wait! Apart from anything else, I can't wait to get rid of the stupid numberplate on the rear wheel thing, it looks awful!

Evotech kit just arrived - seriously quality stuff, I'm really impressed with how beautifully made everything is. It's well worth the money, that's for sure. Just need to find a couple of hours to get on and fit it now!
