Hi All

Popped into my local bearing supplier on my way home from work today to pick up a set of wheel and cush drive bearings for the 900.

Guy behind the counter threw me as he asked what I was using them for, and when I told him he said I don't want c3's as I'd brought with me due to their loose state when cold. As the ones I'd removed were originals I didn't know which variant to purchase.

Do I want c3 loose or normal tightness?

Thanks

Ben

Thought so thanks!

£37 for all for bearings in back wheel for pound notes.

Hope that's a decent price :)

Yes the C3 bit means a looser fit, presumably for heat expansion. Ducati specify it and that's what i got from my local bike shop when they almost failed my 600 Monster on worn rear wheel bearings 2 months ago. £16 i payed for a Koyo one, oddly the other side was perfect and smooth, just the drive chain side was excessively worn. Would have preferred SKF bearing as per original but they only stocked Koyo of same spec. £37 for 4 bearings is a good price.

Cheers

We both weren't sure to be honest so I left it. But I want all new bearings so will go back with cash and order the loose ones
