Hi folks,
Just had my 600 MOT'd but it turns out it has a euro headlight fitted so flicks up to the wrong side but i was wondering if anyone knows if there is such a thing like you get for cars to change the headlight pattern? You know like a sticker thing :-)
Cheers,
Roo

Yes there is I have one saved in my ebay list because my Jota failed MOT one time because of this (had been fine the years before). Like you say a sticker/lens.

Could you possibly link me to it Darren? If there is multiple ones of course don't want to be stealing your deflector :-P

I've not tried one, so please let me know how you get on. But I have the same Euro spec Bosch lamp on my Jota as is on the monster and it went through 3 mots until I took it somewhere else and then they told me that. If its an easy fix then all good.
It was a brand new lens as well that I bought from a Laverda Owners club member! I think half the problem is that they are such a poor old design its difficult to tell most times.

Now I'm in a predicament as where it exactly goes... The fitting instructions don't have ducatis listed so I'm clueless as to where to put it

you could replace the lens with a UK spec one here (https://www.motobins.co.uk/displayfinal.php?s=0&function=show&subs=290a&title=HEADLIGHT+LENSES&model=)
you could stick your old one on euro ebay and get most of the money back

You could also just blank off the section of the lens with black insulating tape and a scalpel. Which gives pretty similar results to the kit Halfrauds will sell you for about a tenner to do the same thing.
It does reduce light output, but not a massive amount- just removes the stuff that blinds oncoming traffic...
There's usually a clear wedge-shaped section for the dip pattern; on a RHT lens, it'll be on the right to throw light up for the curb on that side. Just tape over that and trim to shape.
Useful when taking vehicle abroad; fit correct lens for the destination, mask off, go there, peel off and enjoy correct pattern abroad etc.

Use Aluminium tape and it will reflect a little of the light back into the headlight - might help, also doesn't look so obvious from the front...

You can see the shape and position of the black aluminium tape on mine https://www.dropbox.com/s/u53jikga51bucwf/Monster.jpg - I actually like the look of it with the black tape on it. Looks a bit different.
that's a really sneaky bin shot
