Hi Guys!
I haven't posted at all since saying hello over a year ago. In the meantime I've bought the 1100Evo I was drooling over and put almost 9000 awesome miles on it.

A friend of mine - Matthew Payne - is an amateur film-maker and wanted to go out do a bit of filming with the bike. He's put together a short (sub 3 mins) video of my Monster down near Beachy Head, please check it out and let me know what you think!

Hi

Pretty professional for an amateur :)

I enjoyed watching that: you must have been out pretty early to get the roads so quiet, or very patient to wait for gaps in the traffic!

Hi there. Pretty cool video. Must have been fun going up and down all day.
Well done for doing the mileage. Hopefully in 2016 you can use some of them to meet other members of the club.
Have fun.

Good vid. Enjoyed it, but the noise is the star! Sorry Matthew...
The front suspension used a lot of travel whilst poodling along... #anorak

Brilliant vid, shame about the crappy music, if you can call it that. Maybe something classic and Italian would be more suitable and more exhaust noise of course.

That was great, I enjoyed that! Anyone got a nice Evo for sale?

Thanks for all the positive replies guys!

We did have a lot of fun riding, swapping camera locations, riding again etc... it was quite tiring actually but I think we were pretty lucky with the small amount of traffic. Matt is trying hard to move from amateur to professional with his film-making, hence why I'm trying to promote the video!

Stinger101; you're right, the front does use up a lot of travel, mainly cos I'm fat and tried to brake pretty hard!

I can't honestly say that I'm a fan of the music either but I wanted to let my mate do his work without my interference. He told me that he tries to use music that isn't stuff he'd listen to but more suited to the mood of the video; in this case he went for a more mellow ride without trying to make it all energetic and flashy.

I might ask him for the raw footage and put something together myself, a lot less polished but with more exhaust! :-)

In the words of General Melchett (Blackadder Goes Forth)-
"I just suggest a bit more practise and perhaps a sparkly costume for the slug"

Only joking, I rather enjoyed it but like the others would have preferred to hear a little more Bwwwwwaaaaaaarrrrrrr!!!

I did think it was going to go a 'bit Quadrophenia' for a moment though- now there's an idea- re-dub it with 'Love Reign o'er Me'.

Course he can.
He can see for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles.
Oh yeah.

If I was being overly critical I'd offer the following points;
The camera angle changed a lot, maybe too much at times.
For shots where your helmet is viewed the helmet cam should be removed, in any professional film you never see the camera.
But overall I enjoyed it, the exhaust sounds epic. :)

If I was being overly critical I'd say your front wheel spindle (52sec & 1min48sec) is very slightly misaligned ;-)
Nice video

Some of the grass needed cutting, apart from that was great
