I went down to J&S in Portsmouth just to see what road legal lids were on offer and picked up a Bell M5X Carbon for £299:

Quite a nice lid, looks great with the black visor (Bob Heath). I must say the staff in J&S were great.

looks good.
I'd agree the guys in J&S Portsmouth are very helpful, the only thing is that it's a real stretch to call it Portsmouth when it's North of Waterlooville.
You should have said you were around, as it's only a mile or so from my gaff.

Spur of the moment thing. They are top there, I might go back when I update my leathers.

Bob Heath visors, eh ?
Now there's a name from the past.
I remember watching the man himself racing a 350 Yamaha back in the day.
It was the early days of "sticking yer knee out" and NOBODY hung off the side of a bike like Bob Heath at the time.
I have the picture burned into my mind's eye, of him exiting the Mallory Elbow (pre bus-stop) ......still makes me grin.
I've squinted through many of his products over the years too.
Nice lid.
I could more than fancy one of those ....... if the stripes were blue.
T'would nicely match my, er .................................................. ... new wheels that I collected today.:woot:

I've got a Bell M4R carbon in size medium for sale. Worn for three short trips and then stored in wardrobe. I decided it's slightly too big for me. As new condition with holdall and spare visors. They look lush in the flesh B-)

Nice,
I bought the black and white one from their Clapham branch a few weeks ago. Only £199 and very light for commuting with. I would have preferred the carbon too but they didn't have any in stock and would have wanted one with a white stripe and not orange.

I had the regular MX5 for 4 years and just swapped to another new Bell
They fit me well, really light, ACU Gold approved for track use and good value
