I've got a DP Carbon hugger to fit on my M796, but looking at it, it's seems there is a bolt that is concealed by the rear wheel. Before I tackle the job of fitting it, can it be done without removing the rear wheel or not?

Cheers folk.

Hi Justin

I have only ever managed to get to the hidden screw with the wheel off.

I have changed the hugger twice without taking off the rear wheel, having said that I had to cut down an Allen key and there was a lot of swearing and faffing about, come to think about it if I had the confidence I would have taken the wheel off !!

Cheers for the replies. I have even considered maybe letting the air out of the tyre to gain better access but not sure if that will still give enough room for an Allen key. It seems wheel off is probably the easiest option. The joys of having a rear paddock stand ;-)
