Having a look around for some protectors for an 821 as well as tail tidy and rad/engine guards seems cheaper on R&G over Evotech, is this a quality thing or do R&G manufacture in China or some other country. If I can afford it I prefer to support UK business which is what I believe Evotech promote.

Anyone any experience of comparing the two? Or even recommend one over the other?

I don't know where R&G source materials for there products but they do seem to be of good quality. I have the Aero bobbins on my S4 as I preferred the look of them over the more traditional style ones.

I'd certainly recommend them and they look up to the job but luckily I've not tested them!

R&G are 'the name' for crash bungs, I haven't looked into Evotech bungs.
Evotech's stuff is great quality and customer service top notch in my experience.

I had the misfortune to try the crash bobbins when my old M900 got written off ,it was an upright impact when a car pulled out on me . the front aero bobbins were a bit scuffed so I rang R&G to buy a pair of new plastic bits , I thought they would be reasonably priced ,being almost a consumable , they're not ! £60 odd ,I didn't but them ,instead got a lump of black nylotron bar and turned a pair up in the lathe, cost nothing but a bit of time .
Left me a bit pissed with R&G.

Thanks very much, looks like the first crash bung purchases will be R&G, also the tank protector and side protector panels, I do tend to grip with my knees and wear the paint to a dull finish.

The tail tidy is a nice to have later I think.
