hi guys
has anyone ever experienced this curioso.
Have just installed a nice shiny pressure plate which stated it would fit all dry clutch all seemed well until tonight when i had chance to proper open it up as the weather improved marginally and the clutch slips and the top of the revs A LOT.
so whipped it all off thinking i hadnt aligned the marks and i had. so put the old one back in took it out and it was fine. made a point of trying to get it to slip and it would not. i have taken measurements of plate thickness, depth of spring channels etc. and all seems the same. cannot get my head round it. was just going to put some washers under the springs but this seems a bit heath robinson to me and id never be happy until i knew the reason.

Sounds really odd, same springs and caps as before or new ones?

Had the same issue when fitting my new clutch.... Bearing wasn't seated correctly, and the pushrod wasn't quite seated in the bearing. Give em a tap!
