Help appreciated...

So I've bought some front & rear paddock stands for my 620sie. Thought they'd be a good idea for cleaning the bike properly and for storage over winter (save the bike leaning on its tyres). They were very reasonable too (possibly the issue!).

The rear stand has two U-shaped brackets which I assume marry up to some bobbins mounted on the rear swing arm. I would have preferred a 90dgeree bracket to match the square-shaped swing arm but anyway I bought some bobbins only to find I have no holes in the swing arm to screw them into! Having looked at the packaging it suggests I need Oxford Frame Forks?!?! I guess they were a waste of money then!

What can I do to make the stands work for my bike? I can't see how the U-shaped bit is suitable for my bike as there is nothing on the swing arm/anything that can be added as far as I can see. I bought stands that were (supposedly) for my particular model of bike but I'm at a bit of a loss now.

Thanks in advance.

Not a problem. Lots of the Monsters don't have bobbins. You just need to buy some adaptors for your stand, like this http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=131209234839&globalID=EBAY-GB but ones that fit your particular one

Thanks for that. Yeah I need that sort of "end bit" but with a square shaft as such. Can't find the right one!

I did look at them ones but they don't look like they pivot at all so would they be ok - ie not damage the swing arm - when lifting it up?

Still, for a fiver I'll order some :)

Without knowing what paddock stand you have it's impossible to tell. I'm not sure any with square shafts would pivot?

If you have this type of stand they should be ok

I also purchased some cheaper paddock stands with the same problem

I'm not sure if it will work with your stands but I removed the u shaped brackets from the stand, reversed them in the holes so that the u's are on the outside of the stand and managed to push the other end pin part into the hole in rear axel, I mean it's not ideal but it's very secure and I've had no problems!

Cheers guys. These are the stands:

I did think of using the other end of the shaft but was concerned about the stability of it!

email ricambi weiss or ask seller question on ebay.
they are really well known and can probably supply the right cups at a sensible price
