Is the S2R physically bigger than the M900

My S2R feels bigger than my old M900ie,more of a stretch to the bars and higher seat .
Is it ?
There isn't a lot of room from the top of the fork adjusters to the underside of the bars, is there a noticeable difference to steering if I drop the forks through by 10 mm ?

Taller yes. Longer slightly on tail piece. Same frame dynamics but different shock set up. I was surprised the difference in the 97 m900 to the s4 ride too and that's much more similar. Don't ride a 1100 or your be even more surprised.
