I was thinking of getting my cam belt covers done by a process called hydro carbon dipping?? (I think?)

There is a place in kent called, kent hydrographics... anyone used them?

Anyone had experience of this process?

Cheers,

It looks like an easy enough thing to do at home. You can buy all the ink sheets from ebay in endless designs including carbon alike weave.

Then all you need is a can of primer and big tub of water.

I've seen the demo films on youtube....looks like a 6 year old could do it.

Yes I used them. If your just doing stuff like carbon it's good. I used them to experiment with aluminum brushed effect. It ended up expensive but because sheets were small and fails which I ended up paying for. That was tank panels .screen and seat cowl and tank centres. It's not a great saving over the real thing as plastic is still heavy and at least carbon has a resale valued. Don't let me put you off though it's still good.

Thanks all.
Gone off the idea of fake carbon...I think I would prefer them plain black. Can the covers be painted successfully?

Hydro dipping gets better results with simpler shapes.
