Yep it looks like el scrambler is the heart of a good looking concept Superlight. Like it a lot. I saw the vision of these a year ago in café racer or whatever you wish and low and behold they throw this out.

Love it.

Now that holds some potential - is this a vague rumour about one of the 2016 models?

That looks rather splendid. If only they'd make one....

Looks like an of the shelf supertwins contender ....very sweet ... but don't concepts always get watered down in reality?

Not a v twin but similar in concept.

Looks good, it seems as every time I see a scrambler it's been 'modded' into something else like a sport bike or a cafe racer?

Has anyone got pics of one modded in motoX fully off roaded?

You don't need to completely modify something to have a bike capable off road. Its never been about that. The word to SCRAMBLE over something.

Mine has been scrambled at least and beached.

I've yet to see one turned into a proper MotoX bike too but I'm sure someone will soon. Love the one in the OP. Could see me getting the chequebook out for that one.

Scramble
1. To move or climb hurriedly, especially on the hands and knees.
2. To struggle or contend frantically in order to get something
3. To take off with all possible haste, as to intercept enemy aircraft.

To 'Scramble'
1. To mix or throw together haphazardly.
2. To gather together in a hurried or disorderly fashion.
3. To cook (beaten eggs) until firm but with a soft consistency.
4. Electronics To distort or garble (a signal) so as to render it unintelligible without a special receiver.
5. To cause (aircraft) to take off as fast as possible, as to intercept enemy aircraft.

I wasn't commenting on the scrambler concept, just if one had been fitted with knobblys, lifted about 6 inch and lost the tail, like the monster off roader they did a few years back, was it a 695 or similar?

We spent yesterday at Weymouth beach watching motoX, I was thinking about how cool would it be to have a scrambler beach race series or similar :yoparty:

I really like the Scrambler and I know the short front mudguard looks good, so I may be against the masses when I say this, but I wish it was a bit longer at the back. I'm sure it wouldn't take much for Ducati to produce an accessory to extend it or a front engine cover, apart from the sump guard, to give a bit of weather, and stone, protection for the engine. The Ducati engine is a big aesthetic part of the bike but is not the most durable, coating wise, and can be hellish to keep clean as it is.

Sheesh I'd not even like to consider racing sand or dirt with that much mass, sand is a bit unforgiving to go fast on.. Raced a hundreds of miles on sand and it's hard work if you are forced to slow down at all. Oh yes and it's just as hard as anything else when your front end digs in and the bike spits you off
